Legal Question in Family Law in India
Can we show Evidence of Audio Recording in court
My Sister is married for 3+ years . My Sister's In-laws were troubling her a lot for Dowry, so she filed a Dowry harassement case against them and in reponse to that the boy applied for anticipatory bail.
During the course of 2 years when they were harassing her, we went there a couple of times to request them not to do so but they were adamant and did not listen to us.
But in thier relation and neighbours they were fabricating a wrong image of the girl, so next time whenever they beated her or troubled her , for the purpose of proof, I took an audio recording device with me and during the conversation with them it is clear that they are greedy and that they beated and troubled my sister.
Now is it advisable to show this Audio recording in court or will it go against us as to why we recorded the conversation.

The recording is a valuable piece of evidence and you must use the same; it is not likely to be used to against you in any manner.
However, the final decision in the matter should be taken only in consultation with your consul who may be conducting the case.
