Legal Question in Family Law in India

I thank Shri. Sudershan Goel for the answere given by him. I request him to please answere me in brief for below .
After five years of marriage my wife went away and filed a case of divorse and i filled a Restitution of Congual Rights. Side by side I also filed for custodey of my son (he was 3 years that time). The court gave me a temperory Order to meet my son at the Chiled care centre every 2nd and 4th Saturday. This was practised by both of us. Same time i had appeled in High Court but the judgement was not changed and it was said that the final decicion shall be taken in family court at the last. So again the case started for Divorce and Restitution. Divorce was sanctioned without any decision for the child. My application was kept pending and when verbally questioned to the judge, he verbally asked the motherto continue with the last decision of visiting rights.
But unfortunately they have not continued with same. now my son is 6 years i had sent a notice thru' an advocate to continue with the visiting rights, but they have replied that no such decision is given by the family court to continue the visiting rights in the final yearing.
So wht next step should should i take to get custody of my son. Should i wait till he is 7 years and then take further actions. Please reply.
