Legal Question in Family Law in India

Sir, I want the clarification regarding the following case. A legally wedded wife, who filed a maintenance against her husband in MC31 of 2002, as he did willfully neglected and deserted her wife and two children. The family court passed an order for maintenance Rs 500, each petitioner with effect to order in 2004. From thereby the husband filed a revision petition in high court for obtaining stay.During these whole period petitioners not filed any petition for maintenance. Stay not granted and the revision dismissed in month of November 2012.Now the petitioner filed an enforcement petition for ten years. But the family court return the petition as not maintainable. Can the petitioners entitle arrears of maintenance for 10 years from the date of filing of petition, 2002.

With best regards
