Sir i was married and went to USA with my husband .I was abused by my in laws and husband for dowry.They didn't demand anything directly but expected that if they abuse me my father will give them whatever they want.When it went to physical abuse i managed to escape from their prison.Since then my husband has not seen my child,who is now 2 1/2 years old (I escaped when the baby was 1 month old) or taken any kind of responsibilities.My child is US born and we both are of Indian.Do i get the full custody of my baby after divorce?

in these circumstances, you may claim the full custody of the child but the husband may seek the custody on the ground that the child is a US citizen.
