sir, i am separated from husband for 4 yrs.My 6yr old son is with me.we r from kerala in different states.he used to beat,insult,threaten me.he has taken my gold,passport,property and money is with him. he is saying he will sign mutual consent and return everything if he gets custody of my son.
i have been taking care of my son under my own cost.i want divorce,my son and my things.i m ready to give visitation.what should i do

in case you do not want to give the custody of your son to your husband, he cannot take the custody unless the court grants him so and the court consider the right of mother superior to father. however, you may seek other legal remedies for maintenance and compensation even under domestic violence act.
