Legal Question in Family Law in India

Hello Sir, I am a South Indian Brahmin girl married to a Jat Sikh boy. After our daughter was born, we declared our girl as Hindu Brahmin. Will we face any legal complications? My daughter has been carrying my maternal surname. Appreciate your kind reply
