Hi sir,i was abroad before marriage,i completed MS and even got a job and got a marriage proposal,they said no need to work,i returned back to india leaving my h1b and job, i paid to cosultancy and even i have offer letter. Now they are harrasing me alot. Can i demand for loss of earning and lot of money was spent for marriage,can i get those too.All are saying that you wiil not get a single paisa. My parents even spended for my MS. I have to clear those debts too. Before coming they said they will clear all those.All my gold is with them. Can i get gold which is given by them. Please give me some suggetions Sir.

You are entitled to recover your entire ISTRIDHAN including the gold and gifts given by the boy, his relatives and friends; as also the marriage expenses.You are also entitled to recover damages and maintenance under POW DVA. You may seek criminal prosecution of all those persons who caused cruelty and domestic violence.
Being an educated person, you may refer to the legal provisions and educate yourself before proceeding further.
