Legal Question in Family Law in India

Hello Sir,

I am a bank employee.i have one seister.my sister got married12 years ago.she had two childrens.For the last 12 years we are suffering with my brother-in-law.He is creating so many problems.He beated my sister so many times even once he tried attempt murder.He wants money.He will shout us a volger language.for the last twelve years we are the persons to give him and his two childrens with spoonfeeding.including there house hold needs medical and children education.we are tolurating him because two childrens future.but there is no change.if we inform about his attitude to his parents.but they are not taking any action upon him.even they also tried but he is not at all change.His harrosment with his bad language recently i got married now he is started to abuse my wife also.we are not in aposition to tolurate him.please suggest us we want take divorce.his father had house and some proprety.is the childrens are eligible to get it and i am a bank employee if we go to court there is any problem to my profession please gide us.

dont worry. you dont have any risk.

Ask your sister to file a case under DVA act and demand house shelter, maintenance and other expenditure of her children education etc.

Further if you have ever register any complaint to the police, then you can file 498A also. but after 7 years judges usually did not hear such cases, but you can try.
