I am dimpal from indore.I am suffering from domestic voilence.si If I file a case against groom side.So what are the possibilities of punishment to groom.

and what type of punishment will he get.

DV is very widely defined. If you are suffering from DV and can substantiate before the court then there is no reason that respondent not punished. Punishment would depend upon your prayer as to what have you asked the court under the act.

only violation of the orders under DV act carry a punishment and there is no punishment simplicitor for the acts of violence already committed before filing the complaint.

What do you mean by punishment ? DV act does not visualise any punishment in terms of sending the respondent/husband behind bar. It can only punish the husband incase of any violation of courts order.
