Legal Question in Family Law in India

Sir/Madam ,

My brother had got married in 2008. At that time my brother was studying for MBA & was living in hostel. After marriage his wife was living with her parents & didn't want to live with my parents in village. Now my brother had got a job in abroad since last six months.But his wife neither want to live with my parents nor agree to go to abroad.She want his husband to do job in India.

Now my brother's wife & his family are threatening my brother & my family for Dowry case & Domestic violance.

In these cases is my brother had to leave the job & come to India.

They are threatening me & my wife also. We are living in Gujrat & working in govt.job.Should i take antiseptic bail.

Legal recourse may be acrimonious and complicate the matter further. You should try to sort out the matter amicably by out of court settlement. To begin with, efforts should be made to persuade the girl for living with her husband even if your family may have to accept some of her demands. The marriage is yet to properly mature and the girl has not been able to accept your family as her family. In this situation, it may be necessary to give her more space and a confidence that she is respected and honored in the society.
