Legal Question in Family Law in India
Hello Sir/Madam,
Please let me inform you that I am a 29 yrs old single male IT Consultant working in Mumbai staying with my parents. Lately I used to party out with my friends late night which was objected by my parents and to stop this they took over my credit/debit cards, my original documents i.e. school certificates, employer certificates, Passport and Driving license forcibly. Since the parties are not liked by them I have stopped going out but however i do meet my friends at times but even that is not being liked by them. I have tried to move out of the house but they have forcibly stopped me and are not handing over my documents to me. Can you please advise if there is anything in the law which could help me in getting my documents and me being over 21 yrs I believe I have a right to settle down on my own and live my life as per my wishes and not by force. Your kind and immediate advise in this matter would be highly appreciated.
Thanking you in anticipation,
Regards,
Pavvy
