Legal Question in Family Law in India

sir-My sister was torchered for money by her husband & family for past 3 years. They have one girl child. Recently they sent her out from home.She is earning. She didnt filed any compaint and waited for compromise.But she received lawyer notice today from her husband. What to do? Any way to compromise.? If divorced,can she get maintanence? Please reply.

she may not get maintenance for herself but she can always claim maintenance for the child. she is also entitled for recovery of her stridhan and for that a complaint under domestic violence act may be filed and the reliefs mentioned therein maybe claimed.

she may not be able to claim maintainence for herself if she is working but she can always calim for child
