Legal Question in Family Law in India

Hello sir,

Please advice whether amount got at the time of divorce as a one time settlement is taxable?

Actually I got this amount as while working my earning went to his account and he given that amount back to me and I have proofs that I got salary for the amount I got as one time settlement.

I am in India now, and he is at USA and I earned money in USA only

No. And just for your information that India has sighed a DTAA ( Double tax avoidance treaty ) with USA , which means that you are suppose to pay tax , if any ,in one country.
