Legal Question in Family Law in India

sir,some advocates take a huge some of money to deal with a family matter case.what is the normal charges?as i am not so well off finacially,and the government lawyer given is not regular.is it first i make a token payment and then after the case is over make the remaining payment?in case an advocate leaves the case with no valid reason how do i tackle the go about to get another lawyer as some of them do not handle the case left half way through

There is no law regulating lawyers' fee; normally the fee may depend upon the nature of case, place of the dispute and host of other factors; if an Advocate is leaving a case, one may not bind him; it may be rather better to engage another lawyer; the litigation is very costly and time consuming; as far as possible, one should try for an out of court amicable settlement of dispute.
