Legal Question in Family Law in India

Hello, I stay in southern part of India. I started living together with a guy in the year 2005 and i walked out of the relationship by 2008. However, I do have 2 children with him in the meantime. one born in 2006 and another in 2007. I do have both kids with me as i brought them along with me when we got seperated. Since then I had been living my way out without any contact with him. Now I have decided to marry someone else . Is there any legal procedure I have to go through before this marriage so that me and my kids do not face any trouble as the one I am going to marry wishes to adopt both the kids? Pls Advice.

There is no procedure for your future husband to adopt your children. Your future husband automatically becomes your children step father. You dont have to worry as you had a living relationship and was not married so you have all the legal right to get settle or marry to whom you wish to decide and do so.
