Legal Question in Family Law in India

I stayed with my wife for 2 and half months after marriage. How much alimony I have to pay as lump sum in case of divorce? I have a flat in my and mother's name. It price is 25 lakh. I took it on partial loan of Rs. 8 lakh. I am paying EMI Rs. 11000. Monthly income 60,000

it is the judge who will decide the amount of alimony u/s 25 of Hindu Marriage Act and you need to put your circumstances mitigating the amount of alimony. the alimony would also depend upon her working capacity and her wilfull refusal to join your company.

In normal situation you may required to pay Rs.15,000/- per month or a lump sum alimony of approximately Rs.10 - 15 lacs.
