Legal Question in Family Law in India

i am staying seperately from my husband.he is not ready for divorce.he abuses me mentally & physically.i don't want to stay with him.he just wants to harass me.i am economically independent.can i adopt a baby without his consent.

First of all you have to file case against your husband then you may go independently to adopt any child.
