if you want to get divorce by mutual consent if you are a hindu then you have to be living apart for one year. Further you cannot get a divorce within one year of your marraige other than special cirumstances provided

Divorce may not be that easy;

It may depend the course of action she chooses. If she decides to initiate civil and criminal proceedings, you may be in trouble. If she agrees for mutual consent divorce and settle the matter out of court, you may get divorce after about seven months.

Divorce is not that simple procedure as you think!

If your marriage is Hindu Marriage then your sepration must be of 1 year.

But if in case if she decides to initiate the civil and criminal course of action you might get in trouble.

I would advise you both to get a counselling and then decide the course of action.
