how can i stop my soon to be ex from leaving the country?

We got married in 2007 dec and he left me in india and left to US and then applied for a divorce in US and got an exparte divorce.

he has now come to india and is threatening me to sign papers and is using abusive language and bringing his people to harrass me. he has booked his tickets to leave to US on the 6th.

is there some way that i can prevent his going back and have him finish the issue here legally?

i heard that i can sue him for fraud is that right? if yes, how is that done and can it be done in 3-4 days as he is leaving in 3-4 days time?

You may make a complaint to the police u/s 498-A and 420 IPC; The police may arrest him and ask him to deposit his passport during investigation of the offence; The court may grant him bail but put a condition not to leave the country when the case is pending.

As far your divorce is done in USA then it is not valid in India.

You should contact a local lawyer and file a complaint in the Police.

The divorce in US is not valid. File a police complaint immediately.
