Summons against women

If a domestic violence case is filed only against one's mother in-law..will she be summoned by the court or the wife's husband?

Domestic Violence Case is not even maintainable against mother-in-law. It is only against male members of the family.

The person who has committed violence may be summoned; if the complaint is against mother - in - law, she only has to be summoned and appear in response thereof.
