Please tell me how much time is required to get the divorce decree. Also what is the process involved.
Since Divorce deed is not a legal document to remarry. Does that means the remarrige is not legal? Also what are the repurcussions of not having a divorce decree

for mutual consent divorce the maximum time is 8 months to get a divorce decree. you can contact a advocate with full facts of your case. The marriage without decree is null & void and the party can be booked for Bigamy under Indian Penal Code.

if the divorce is filed on mutual consent than maximum a year . if not than there is no fixed time
divorce decree is very important to further remarriage otherwise bigamy can be booked
