Dear lawguru
I am an engineer ,working in a good concern, I am married for 20 yrs. I have a son.
But my wife tortures me mentally, uses abusive language in front of others, has full control over my money. She has made all deposits and savings without my name. I don't have a bit of my own savings, no independence. Even a LIC matured and the whole money she has usurped. If I go to protest she creates scene, and tortures my son. To save the situation I keep mum. Moreover she neglects me, we don't have any sexual relationship for a longtime. I had a transfer, and she did not pay visit to my place even once.
I want financial independence of and that also legally, so that I can stay independently. Also divorce will give me mental peace.
Please guide me how to proceed in this situation.

you can go for judicial separation or Divorce
as you did not have good relations with her, then it is not right on your part to let her have all the savings and not go for joint deposits. freedom is the birth right and no one can stop you to stay separate or compel you to stay with her. in case she is non working, you may have to pay the maintenance.
