Legal Question in Family Law in India

I unable to find my husband named property only i know the house which i live is on my father-in-law name and the property is self acquired. My husband showing he is daily worker and not paying any maintenance to me and my son. Can i on behalf of my son ask for partition in my father-in-law named property.
