Legal Question in Family Law in India

Wedding

Hi Sir,

One of my friend recently got married in a registrar office after filling an application 32 days before the actual wedding day. Parents of both bride and bridegroom were not aware of there wedding. Bridegroom and the bride are 25 and 22 years of age. They both got married with mutual consent. I am one of them who put the 3 witness signature, Know will i be called if the girl change her mind and say that she was forced for wedding. (this can happen due to her parents pressure) what will be my responsibility and what should be my stand. As per me both of them were very interested in there wedding. I would very eagerly wait for your reply.

Regards,

Re: Wedding

you do not have to worry for anything. they are adults and have married in accordance with law by mutual consent. the marriage is valid. there is no legal responsibility upon you. You did nothing wrong.

Re: Wedding

marriage had taken place before registrar and you are merely a attesting witness,so nothing wrong has been committed by you.So donot worry and be happy.
