Legal Question in Family Law in India

I am a widower and have a son. I've gone for 2nd marriage and my 2nd wife has a daughter . My 2nd wife is divorced and she was permitted complete daughter custody by court and her earlier husband agreed for that. Do i need to adopt her daughter or only with name change affidavit it should be fine. Pls suggest.
