my wife did not accompany me abroad. she is living in India and I am in US. .we have been physically seperate for the past one year. We have lived together only 4 months.
I want a judicial seperation. Does the 1 year physical seperation make my case stronger?

Yes, it makes your case stronger but the question is upon which ground you will file the divorce petition. If your wife is ready to give you mutual divorce then it would be easy.

why you want judicial separation, why not seek divorce on the grounds of desertion. however, in case you want judicial separation only, you may file the petition.
