Legal Question in Family Law in India
I have wife with 2 daughters residing in another town. Due to misunderstandings with wife, i moved to another city and started working. I am sending every month certain money for their expenditure.
I have completed 18 years of married life. My wife has doubt on my character and started abusing me and tortured me, by holding my passport. Due to which i lossed my international job opportunity. I filed application in local police station on the same day. They counselled both of us and told that, its an family problem, u have to sort out by ur self. Because of wchich now i am working in India with less salary. Am I eligible to apply for divorce? Please guide me properly. Im resident of Hyderabad, Andhra PRadesh, INDIA aged 40 years.

Withholding your passport definitely amounts to cruelty and you can go for divorce. But what are her allegations against you ? why she is torturing and abusing you ? Please explain for detail opinion.
