Legal Question in Family Law in India
My wife had filed for a divorce case framing false charges against me. She had also asked for a huge sum as alimony. We are nearing the closure of the case. Knowing that I can prove her wrong on allegations, she has now come down to 10% of sum, which is still a huge amount of money. I am confused as to what to do, as the case is nearing closure and I am proving the allegations false.
What could be the decree of the case from the following possibilities?
1.Her petition for divorce is rejected. This way, though the court passes the decree, no one can force for a reunion, which is a risk.
2. The court could grant the divorce but reject the alimony amount based on my wife's qualification, income etc., which means I need not pay anything.
Please let me know as to which of the above is a possibility, based on which I could decide my course of action.
Thanks

one needs to know all the facts of the case before an opinion is given. what are the grounds she is seeking divorce on and is there any other criminal case filed against your or other family members.
