Legal Question in Family Law in India

My wife has filed for a divorce. My take home pay is around 55000 and her take home pay is Rs 30000. We have a male child (7 year old) and the child is with her. I don't want to divorce her. How much alimony is she entitled for?

I mean what is the maximum that the court can ask me to pay for the child. If the Mahila court directs to pay Rs 15000 for the child is it OK?? I mean my child is only about 7 years old. My wife earns around 30-35000 herself. So what could be the maximum the court can direct me to pay for the child? Also as i said i do not want to divorce her?

Thanks in anticipation

You should be prepared to pay and rather start making payment on your own of at least Rs.20,000/- per month.

if you dont want divorce you can file RCR case. Maintainence awarded by court depends upon several factors.
