Legal Question in Family Law in India

My wife has filed false DV Case against me and took interim order for child custody ex-parte. She came alongwith Police and took custody of our adopted daughter while I have just submitted my reply to the court on 17th Sept, she and her relatives followed me and asked for out of court settlement otherwise they will file other false criminal cases like 498a and likewise. they started blackmailing me that as I have all my properties in my wife's name, i should handover the possession on most of them, give them a share of my business and income and daughter I sign for returning back to her biological parents.

what should I do in this situation. can i file an FIR against them or will it be a negative impact on me

If i remember and recall correctly, this question had come up earlier also. The FIR can be for allegations which constitute some offence. In this case the only offence is threat under section 506 IPC. No One can force you to do any act. It is your sweet desire. You may ask for mediation by the mediation centre functioning in all the district courts.
