Legal Question in Family Law in India
My wife has filed a false DV case against me. Her relatives are threatening me of filing 498a.
I have come to know if my parents disown me through a public notice in local newspaper, then they cannot be arrested under 498a.
Please guide me correctly to save my family atleast from this danger.

Merely because they have disowned you now, it will not wipe the cause of action which has already arisen.

disowning at this stage may not favour you or your parents but in case you know that the case is false, you may approach the High Court for quashing the FIR against you or you may face the trial and prove her wrong in cross examination.
