Legal Question in Family Law in India

Me and my wife had small quarrel and she was at her parents house for a month and now everything is fine and she is back to my home.

Now her father is threatening her to come back and get divorce from me otherwise he will file DV and 498a case against me and my family.

Is this really possible for a father in law to file cases without his daughters consent ?
