at this point of time, your only cause of action will be Defamation. You may issue a notice for defaming you in the society without any rhyme and reason. You will have one year thereafter to file a criminal complaint for defamation and/or a civil suit for recovery of damages for defaming and filing a false case against you. By the time trial is over and you are acquitted, limitation for filing criminal complaint for defamation would be over. At that time, your remedy will be to file damages for malicious prosecution, that is, damages for filing a false case in which you have been acquitted.
