Legal Question in Family Law in India

What to do with Wrong Admitted List

I am married since 2 Years and have a child. My In-laws were troubling for Dowry and beating me. My parents called Police and they refered the case to WOman Cell. I left my Matrimonial house and am living with my parents currently. I gave my complaint at Woman Cell and my List of Items including what was given to me and what we gave to my husband my mother-in-law and sister-in-law. My Husband in his Admit List given to Woman Cell, only Admitted the items like TV, Furniture etc. Regarding Gold Items he admitted only the Items which were given to him and his family and the ones which were gifted to me, he claimed that I took them along while leaving the matrimonial house.

The Question is that Woman Cell people are telling us to take whatever items he is admitted and then again give the list of the items remaining with them. Can we trust them. Are there any chances that he may get bail easily if we take the items whatever he is admitting.

bail depends upon discretion of court but presently you can get possession of what they are giving and then check the same with your list and give list for balance items.

You have been rightly advised to accept what ever you are getting;

However, you may continue your complaint u/s 406 and 498-A IPC till you get the entire istridhan - all items which your family gave you or your husband and his family gave you.

You may also pursue your remedy under the DVA.
