1 Answer from Attorneys
The property was in the name of the mother and mother has died in 1973. No doubt it was mother's stridhan, but, after mother's death it is the property of all three daughters and three sons irrespective of the fact that son is in possession. Yes, mother could have excluded daughters by writing a Will. In absence of WILL the property will have to be shared by 3 daughters and 3 sons.
