Legal Question in Civil Litigation in India
Case: One male has been married in his childhood in Gurjar Community in Rajasthan at 3 years of age. Without having any further link between the two, after 25 years when the Male has got govt job, the female & her family members are forcing him to marry her. The male is not willing to do so and want to marry a girl of his choice after negociation.
Question: Whether child marriage is still recognised in India in any state? Whether the male can marry as per his choice and whether there is any legal obstacle in such marriage which may cause harm in his job?
