Legal Question in Civil Litigation in India

Cheque Bounced from a Service bureau

I was supposed to get my money back from the maid service agency. For the past 3 months he was saying that he will send it tomorrow but never turned up. After that last Sunday I visited his office and he issued one check in my name. That check got bounced today and I am really frustrated out of this as these people have cause us lot of inconvenience. Please suggest how can I get them punished. Though the amount is very smarr (6000 Rs.) but I have been so much harrased for the same. Please advise if this buraeu can be punished in any way.

Re: Cheque Bounced from a Service bureau

Dear friend,

Issue a Lawyer notice to the "service bureau", u/s 138 of Negotiable Intruments Act, that is in order to make good of your prompt payment plus any incidental charges accrued within 15 days, if the said "service bureau" contravene with Lawyer Notice, then redress the said matter through right magisterial court.

Thank You,
