in a civil case we hire a advocate,and given power of attorney to him because we are not in a position to attend the case,we paid fee to the lawyer,but some one told me that during the hearing date our lawyer not appear before the court,how we know that whether our lawyer appearing in the court on our behalf,if he skips the date then what we can do...

Check/inspect the order sheet of the courts file and find out the truth.If the lawyer is not appearing then change the lawyer.
