Legal Question in Civil Litigation in India

Dear Friends,

An old saying is that "Good Lawyers are only found in the cemetery."

But I am absolutely sure that the above is not true. Would appreciate any pointers from Bangalore.

My Problem:

Mr. Liar is handling two of my cases (Div + 498a) since last 3 months. From last few weeks either there's a sudden surge in his greed or I suspect there's some under the table agreement between him & the 498a outlaw gang.

Initially he tried to pressurize me for compromise with the outlaws. I resisted so he has started creating one or the other prob each day. I had already paid him about Rs. 1 lac but he's demanding Rs. 75K more as expenses. Now he has stopped picking my calls saying he's currently out of station & will be back only on the next hearing date.

Please suggest how can I get rid of him. Can he deny me the NOC stating non payment of expenses.

FYI, all my payments to him were through online Bank transfers to his a/c. What can I do in case he denies NOC. Should I ask for NOC through post, email or otherwise ?

Another prob is that he has arranged for my surety regular bail. Is there a possibility of this bail cancellation if I fire him now. FYI, Still one month of conditional bail period is remaining.

Would appreciate any help/suggestions regarding this.

Regards

Dear Sir,

(BTM Layout, Bengaluru, Karnataka)

There is nothing on Earth that stops you from representing your case in person in the Court.

Being charged under 498A is too critical and sensitive a matter, to be purely left to the Advocate/ Lawyer to defend and resolve, regardless of the money paid. Always keep the Advocate / Lawyer in the background, and you remain in the forefront in the Court for such important hearings.

Yes ... I mean it, you should personally attend all hearings, and you should take to the dias (enclosure) and directly face the judge hearing the matter. I personally ensure that all those who seek me as their counsel, actually remain at the forefront at the dias.
