Domicile document

I am serving in Govt transferable job. My father was also serving in govt transferable job.I was born in different state , studied in various states & worked in different states till today.Now I require a domicile certificate. Can you please tell me what all documents are required?. What is minimum length of stay required in a state ? Is it continuous or all together till now?Do I get special consideration being in part of transeferable job?How much time does it take to make domicile certificate?

The office of Collector of the area from where you intend seeking Domicile certificate may provide you necessary guidance about the rules, procedure and requirements for obtaining the necessary certificate after examining your eligibility.
