Legal Question in Civil Litigation in India

my father had bought some ancestral property belonging to him and his brother. We are two brothers and a sister.recently my younger brother showed some documents stating that half of the property that belonged to my father has been sold to him and is registered in his wife's name.neither me nor my sister was aware of any such registration.when i checked the document i found that my father has put thumb impression only on one sheet of the document and hasnt put his signature though he is literate and uses signature usually.they have even mentioned that he was in good health during registration .i doubt the validity of the document. My father expired after four days from the date of registration
