Legal Question in Civil Litigation in India
My father gave 2.8 Lakh to his friend. He gave a 5 years old cheque with 2.8 Lakh in return. It bounced from bank, so we filed a case. Is there any problem if the cheque is 5 years old.

as the cheque is bounced, you may send a legal notice within one month of bouncing of the cheque. afterwards you may also file a complaint u/s 138 of NI act. even if the cheque is 5 years old, what would matter is the date on which it was issued.
