Legal Question in Civil Litigation in India

my friend gave 5 lacs at 2 ruppe interest to another person and kept his land documents for safety purpose on july 2007, from that day he did not pay any amount and he is not staying at his home he was rtc employee , he will retire on july 2010. my friend consulted a lawyer and gave him legal notice and attached the land but he didnot received the legal notice. my question is
1) does my friend will get all the amount he claimed ?
2)the person who took money from my friend trying to sell the land which we got attachment, is it possible ?
3)is it possible to stop retirement benifits with promissory note?
4)if he is unable to pay the money what is my friend situation?
please answer me iam waiting for your reply

first you have to file a suit for recovery and after you win the case you may get the property or retirement benefits attached.
