Legal Question in Civil Litigation in India

Can a gift deed be challenged and revoked

Dear Sir,

My wife has received in 2007 a 50% share in property from her father by way of gift deed which has been registered and Stamped correctly. The deed states that the gift is done out of love and affection.

Now her father wants to revert the gift deed stating that he is not being looked after. However he is not letting his daughter stay in the house to look after him. Can such a gift deed by reverted/ revoked?
