Legal Question in Civil Litigation in India
Hello,
I had an interaction with an agent regarding a property. Everything was going fine but later some of the documents he provided were not convincing. I backed off. He is now asking me for 75000 Rs. as inconvenience charges. He is calling me daily. We have no written agreement. Can I take an action against the threats?
I had paid him a cheque but since the deal did not go through I put a stop payment on the check. Can he file a case against me? We dont have a written agreement on any clause.

Yes you can take action against him by filing a police complaint. You can write in your complaint that he has been threatening me and the reason for you to give a cheque to him .I am sure you must have told him lot of time not trouble you over the phone etc.
