Legal Question in Civil Litigation in India
Hi,
I got a notice from Lokadalat regarding my Pending bill of about 1800 for Reliance broadband connection. I understand that i had not paid the bill but there is a reason behind it. I was always disatisfied with the broadband performance. They promise that the speed would be aroung 3Mbps but it was not giving even 100kbps.The speed was too slow and it was really frustating.. I was paying the bill for 800 from almost 9months and i had made so many compliants, but they have done nothing. So i decided that i will noy pay therm anymore.
Now they had send me the notice. What will i do? What will be the consequence if i wont attend this court.
Regards,
Sonu
Pune.

Hi,
The first question to you. Why did you not approach the Consumer forum. It was your duty to approach if the said company is not upto the standards why they had promised.
Now in this case, its better you approach the said company and try for settlement. If they are not settling your account. They you may still approach consumer Court and report the said problem(deficiency in service), and make counter claims upon the company. For this current notice if you wish you can appear in front of Lokadalat and put down your side and make counter claims.
Note: whether to pay 1800 and resolve or take legal actions against company is totally your wish.
