Notarising a Will

i was given to understand that a will whould not be notarised. is it true?

There is no hard and fast rule relating to WILL nor it is required to be registered or notarised.If it is proved that WILL is genuin and is executed by the executant then no other formality is required but if the WILL is registered then it removes all suspicion in relation to execution of WILL.

just to avoid the problems later on it is advisable to get it registered. otherwise there is no specific hard and fast rule to get it even verified

A will neither requires registration nor notarisation. The law only require that it should be attested by two attesting witnesses.
