Legal Question in Civil Litigation in India

Can a person claiming to be a lawyer appear in a suit , where he is one of the defendants, as a lawyer and not in person? If not, is there any punishment for such an act?

Can this person claiming to be an advocate , rely both on a fake Will and a cancelled Nomination for a property, neither of which he has produced in original? Will the Bar Council take action against such a person? To whom to complain?

How can one verify if his claim of being an advocate is correct, that he presented genuine certificates, appeared for the Bar Council Exam and has some practice?

U need to be sure whether the person is a lawyer or impersonator. The court may ask him to furnish his registration number and then u may verify.
