Rent Receipt

I am a tenent living in Goregaon since last almost 35 years. The rent receit issued by me is in favour of my grandfather and my father is also no more. What is procedure to transfer rent receit in my name? Do I have to pay stamp duty and make registration?

You may be entitled to inherit the tenancy without doing anything further.

However, you may also consult an advocate who may be well-versed with the local laws of your State/area.

How can you issue rent receipt by your self where you are being a tenant for more than 35 years.Your question is not clear,pose it once again.

The question appears to be inappropriate. It is difficult to understand how are you issuing rent receipt in favour of your grandfather and father when you yourself are the tenant.
