Legal Question in Civil Litigation in India
Rent Receit
I am a tenent living in Goregaon since last almost 35 years. The rent receit issued to me by landloard is in favour of my grandfather and my father is also no more. What is procedure to transfer rent receit in my name being the legal heir? DO I have to approach court? Do I have to pay stamp duty and make registration of tenancy with registrar?

No to all your question. However, you will have to approach the landlord and inform the same. Ordinarily, landlord ask for some consideration to do the same.
